Meanderings of a Global Perspective

Eliminate economic sanctions, which drive others into aggressive countermeasures according to history. Impose a regional, continental sales tax 20% less than the global average, enact cap and trade markets to set new global green energy standards, allow federal decriminalization of whatever the states decide - but most assuredly cannabis. Increase federal funding of hemp farms to ensure low-cost fuel and textiles, while financing alternative energy options to the public that would cause them to pay up to 20% less on monthly energy expenditures.
Universally free and accessible premium healthcare, education, and subsidization of hope hostels, for areas of need. Encourage education of organic victory gardens, and well as cultivation of region heirloom crops - whether for cash or sharing. We must be as giving as our new #1 share crop - cannabis, which comes in indica, sativa, or ruteralis. The Fed Gov't should do mass subsidized citizen debt consolidation, so that no one owes any longer on student loans or health bills. I would go so far as to enact a living wage of $2k/month with consideration for the elderly and the youth to save.
These initiatives can be paid for by localizing and regionalizing our means of production, as well as new grassroots initiatives for home-based businesses and independent contractor services. If other nations can rebalance their military expenditures so as to allow us to normalize ours with a cutting edge, then perhaps we could then take the role of providing relatively instant assistance to nations that cannot individually adequately respond to whatever perceived global threat. Sustainable organisms do have defense systems for self-preservation, but nature is not at war with itself. We must continue to de-escalate conflicts through empathy education - to develop a sensitivity to the needs of others - particularly from the western mindset.
I do not agree with the idea of allies. This implies that some nations receive preferential treatment - while others are left out. Realistically, we are going to have to learn to share our resources to assure equitable distribution for all nations and individuals. I agree with many of the mechanisms of capitalism, but we need to get serious here. We are destroying ourselves - one example is the world's oldest tree in the Amazon was recently cut down. Mother Earth can only hold out so long waiting for us to get our attitudes in check. I do not seek to be a rogue species, so Americans especially will need to learn to produce again and become more independent - to encourage more mutual understandings of interdependence. We have a responsibility for stewardship, so let's get to it. We are all humans, and share this place called Earth. Can we please recognize that now? We all have human rights.
Once the global economy has stabilized since it is currently so reliant U.S. consumption, then I would assure that we will match it to the global average. Sustainable transitions are key, as we are not trying to make a bigger mess than before. Any comments, questions, criticisms are welcome. I am open to considering no tariffs or import taxes and more progressive taxation. Someone has to suggest it to me, though. I realize that we could all mutually lower our tax rates at the same time. This would really increase productivity and allow for innovation, if we couple this with a mutual increase of recycle and upcycling. Let us make full use of resources already extracted from the Earth, while minimizing extraction as much as feasibly possible in the future. We have to let the planet heal. And for those non-violent offenders or questionable offenders who have been imprisoned all these years, we need to quit torturing and let them go. No more prisoners of war; let us abide by our own rules that we have set forth. These individuals can be monitored and successfully rehabilitated and join society again. I trust that we are all humans, and we all make mistakes. We cannot allow powermongers to warp our society again; we must extend helping hands and take care of each other. :3
