2016 Post-Election Discussion: Part 2 - Effects of Clinton and Bush Policies- NAFTA normalized trade relations with China and exported good manufacturing jobs.- Bush Sr. initiated NAFTA, and Clinton followed through- Clinton Crimes Bill and largest prison population- Telecommunications act and cannabilization of the news media- Repeal of Glass-Steagall- 911 sparked a decade and a half of global warfare based on faulty information, and earned Dick Cheney of Haliburton billions- Largest security state ever, mass surveilance, and criminalizatian of dissent. Blowback overseas- Raiding of SS funds, and now claiming it will go insolvent without explaining complicity of leadership in this matter.- Lowered taxes on rich, despite our country having been most successful under progressive taxation like post- New Deal- Created and escalated drone war- Subsidy of fossil fuels and suppression of alternative methods of energy production- Subsidization of failing business and bailing out big corporations who should have been dismantled - like the 4 big big banks who now control 60% of GDP
